How Transitioning from Corporate Leadership to Calling-driving Entrepreneurship Led Me to My Purpose

Every time I step on stage or step into a new client meeting, I’m reminded: the most powerful brands aren’t just built—they’re lived. And for a long time, I lived one version of success—until I realized it was no longer aligned with who I was becoming.
For years, I held leadership roles in corporate healthcare—climbing the ladder, leading multi-million dollar marketing campaigns, and sitting at the decision-making table. I loved the strategy, the pace, and the privilege of shaping stories that mattered. But deep down, I knew I was building someone else’s vision. Not my own.
Then came the pivot I didn’t plan for. A high six-figure job… gone. Overnight. I was shocked, hurt—and honestly, scared. But after the dust settled, I sat with a powerful truth:
You have seen who you are. At that fork in the road, you have a choice:
Go full throttle toward it—or abandon it for fear.
I chose to go full throttle!
That choice led me to rebuild Marketing Essentials (now ME Creative Agency), a firm rooted in purpose-driven marketing and strategic storytelling. It led me back to the mic as a professional speaker, helping others discover the power of their personal and professional brand. It led me to create digital products, career-readiness tools for students, and AI-driven marketing strategies for nonprofits and businesses. From corporate to calling.
And more than anything, it led me back to myself.
Now, I help others do the same—redefine what success looks like, take ownership of their story, and show up unapologetically as the brand they were born to be.
Whether you’re navigating a pivot, rethinking your brand, or ready to step into something greater—just know this: Purpose isn’t found. It’s chosen.
